I started making chocolate when I was 12 years old. It gave me direction when life around me was difficult, and it eventually took me to France to train as a chocolatier. Decades later, I still believe chocolate can change a moment—and sometimes much more than a moment.
Forrat’s exists to make truly good chocolate part of everyday life. Not only the kind you give away in a beautiful box, but the kind you buy because today was hard, today was wonderful, or today simply deserves chocolate.

Where it started
I started making chocolate at 12 years old. At 18, I went to France to train as a chocolatier. I was born in Brazil, with French-Algerian roots — and chocolate has been the thread running through all of it.
Forrat's today
Forrat’s is founder-led, made by an artisan team right here in London, Ontario. We use pure European couverture chocolate, and everything we make is meant for everyday enjoyment — not just special occasions.
What we believe
Great chocolate should not be reserved for people with large budgets or special dates. Everyone deserves the real thing — made properly, without shortcuts.
Giving back
Beyond the chocolate, Forrat’s is about mentorship and accessible opportunity — supporting our ambassadors and giving back to the community that supports us.
